About This Test

This test is built on one of the oldest and most consistently replicated distinctions in personality psychology: where you get your energy from. Introversion and extraversion aren't about shyness or confidence, they're about whether social interaction costs you energy or generates it, and how much stimulation feels good versus overwhelming.

Most people aren't at either extreme. Rather than force a binary choice, this test also scores for ambivert, the substantial middle ground where your energy depends on the day, the people, and how much you've already given that week.

Knowing which one you are explains a lot about why certain schedules exhaust you while the same schedule energizes someone else, and why the advice that works for your friends sometimes doesn't work for you at all.
